Driven by the creative process and inspired by the exquisiteness of nature, Allison Loucks’ mixed media paintings depict the essence of raw earthly substances, fluidity and femininity. Allison paints in a variety of mediums, primarily acrylic and resin with a unique aesthetic style. She is an emerging self-taught artist, who has shown her work at Leslie Grove Gallery, Queen West Art Crawl the Bayview Art Tour, and local cafe galleries in Toronto. Allison’s work is texturized with materials such as glass, semi-precious stones, chains, and bark, which arouse the tactile sense of the viewer. Allison is originally from Kingston, Ontario, and currently lives in Toronto.
